GOING IT ALONE by Michele Howe

1. What has been/was your most significant lifestyle change?

2. How has the lifestyle change affected your children?

3. Have your children expressed emotions?

4. If so, how did you handle it?

5. If not, have they demonstrated any “acting–out” behaviors?

6. What activities could you or have you tried to create ‘new traditions?’

7. Do you have resources available for your children?

8. Have you ever journaled? Think of ways to encourage your child/ren to write out their feelings.

9. Have you ever scrapbooked? Do you think your kids would enjoy it?

10. What do you do to teach your child/ren how to ‘reach out to others in need?’

11. Do your children have a pet? If not, is this a possibility?

12. Has your child shown interest in a hobby? How could you encourage a hobby?
